Privacy Policy — iPhone Archiver App
Last updated: October 9, 2026
iPhone Archiver (“the app”) helps you move photos and videos off your device to a storage destination that you configure and control. This policy explains what the app does with your data. In short: the app does not collect, sell, or share your personal data, and it does not send your data to the developer or any third party. Your files go only to the destination server that you set up.
Data the app handles
Photos and videos. When you run an archive, the app reads the original photos and videos you select from your device’s photo library and uploads them to the destination server you configured (for example, your own SFTP server). The app only accesses your photo library after you grant permission, and only to perform the analysis and archive actions you request. Your media is never sent to the developer or to any third-party service.
Destination credentials. The connection details you enter for a destination (such as a server address, username, and password or private key) are stored locally in the iOS Keychain on your device. Credentials are stored with device-only accessibility, are not included in iCloud Keychain or device backups, and are never transmitted anywhere except, as needed, to the destination server you configured in order to connect to it. The developer never receives your credentials.
Run history. The app keeps a local record of your archive runs (such as which items were transferred and verified) on your device so it can show history and safely resume interrupted runs. This stays on your device.
Deleting originals
When you choose a mode that removes originals after archiving, the app deletes a device original only after the upload to your destination has completed and been verified. Deletion uses the standard iOS photo-deletion flow, which asks for your confirmation.
Data collection and tracking
The app contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking software. It does not collect usage data, does not track you across apps or websites, and has no developer-operated servers that receive your data.
Data sharing
The app does not share your data with the developer or any third party. The only network destination your data reaches is the server you configure.
Your control
You can remove a saved destination at any time, which deletes its stored credentials from the device Keychain. Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored data (destinations, credentials, and run history) from your device. Data already uploaded to your destination server is governed by that server and is under your control there.
Children
The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
